Project under construction.
Here is a sample of our first project under construction, so far in 2010.
initial project sketches.
This is a humble scale project without further appeal. The house is for ladies, and in old age. Therefore, it is defined at the outset that the project should be raised in a single plant.
digital projection facade.
The land earmarked for the project was the backyard of a house bigger. As garden, the site had some trees planted on the site. It asks us not talemos none. The project must adapt to their presence. We call attention to two trees, a mango and other fruit from China. Its location in the field is controversial, but the turn can be exploited to enhance the quality of the landscape.
sum.
An interesting factor in this project is time. Unlike other cases, this house is designed considering the transition between its first users and subsequent users. There is a considerable generation gap between them. Therefore, it must take into account the needs and requirements of both generations and achieve a friendly coexistence between the two, under one roof.
architectural plan.
The solution is simple, and without recourse to rhetorical maneuvers or too elaborate. The two trees above are used to determine the location of two patios: one as a courtyard, connected to the mango tree, and the other court-connected to the china-fruit tree is designated as a Japanese-style courtyard, which is smaller, but therefore no less important.
courtyard ambience.
The main courtyard serves as an integrator of the project. Except for the kitchen, all other areas are linked to this central space. Thus, it enriches the landscape of the interior and provides natural light throughout the house.
For its part, the Japanese garden is used to enrich the view you have from the kitchen and to a lesser degree, to the sub room. The fact that the kitchen has a patio semi-exclusive highlights its importance within a project that is meant for two elderly ladies. For our grandmothers, the kitchen is more than a place to cook. The act of cooking, especially the act of cooking for the whole family, have in them a ritual. The kitchen must have therefore that assessment. Among its link to the Japanese garden and sizing it makes the kitchen reassess its significance in the project and within the family.
the Japanese garden.
From the front façade composition volume emphasizes the hierarchy of content areas. The living-space-lead project is within the most outstanding volume. It is a well-defined cube, which opens fully on their back, to join the central courtyard with a terrace type "deck" which plays the role of transition element. The front of the hall remains closed quietly, with few openings to prevent entry of vehicular traffic noise in the place. A small balcony is located between the living room and front garden. Instead of railing is designed to place a sunken planter, where they planted the roses's favorite housewife.
In this design, materials corroborate the statement of the geometry. Originally, the concrete has been considered as the ideal material to highlight the relevance of the room. However, for budgetary reasons, never outside the realm of construction, it decided to rule out that option, and replacing it with stone.
Sketch details of the balcony of the room.
Ultimately, this is a modest project, but must at the same time. An unpretentious house, but beautiful, full of scenarios likely to stay in the memory of those who scroll. A small capsule timeless, outside the hustle and bustle that surrounds it, where growing and aging can be something done in a calm and peaceful.
