The shield has a classic but what is striking is the figure which is inside: a devil. The devil appeared in 1940 as a symbol of celebration. The protagonists of the time demonstrating that athletes played like true hell on the court. This figure has brought a lot of controversy over the years but from 1997 (when the club turned 70 years of history and the devil reappeared on the shield) has been completely banished evil meaning that many people give and is considered simply in terms figurative.
The Red Devils are the most successful club in Colombia (with Millonarios), as have 13 Primera A Category Championships (1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1990, 1992, 1997, 2000 , 2001, 2002 and 2008).
